Comment on the extent to which the initial research and
development of the concept demonstrates a significant understanding
of the chosen subject matter.
- Very Good
- Primary research about 'Vinyl' experiences, what they felt / liked / thought
- Research if vinyl when and the variations / artwork etc incorporate that 'feel' and pleased
- Good concept - the feel and playing vinyl not just the physical objects, lots of research
Comment on the extent to which the concept proposal exploits the practical
and conceptual investigation and application of Design for Print...
- Good
- Look at ways to mimic the feel of a vinyl through print process and finishes
- Thermal raised inks / embossing. Can you print onto the vinyl
Comment on the proposed range of products to be produced in response
to a clearly identified problem...
- Satisfactory / Good
- Figure out what you want the final products to be. Be specific.
- One direction - formal or informal
- Need to define exactly what the final product will contain and what purpose each
thing will have.
Action Plan
Action - Research Vinyl Covers / artwork
Reason - To gain a better understandnig of the print and artwork format, to be able
to recreate 'that feel'
Action - Look at more packaging variety
Reason - Restriction to just a bag, be more ambitious Think about recreating
vinyl cover as a form of packaging.
Action - Try gathering / investigating all the things that make listening to Vinyl
good then package and promote (the dust, things that make it unique)
Reason - Focus more on your unique concept rather than a general overview of vinyl
