Alphabet Soup
This was the first type only brief I have ever worked on, initially I found it quite hard to get into it but once I started exploring replacing segments of the letters with image and experimenting with legibility I realised the possibilities within type.

Alphabet Soup - Typeface

It was really interesting to integrate personality rather than an action into a typeface. I decided to work with Mooney's interest in electronic music as it was the main area that stood out to me.

My first typeface was interesting using the music equipment to replace and integrate with the letter forms, but it was when I started to take the image out and use silhouettes that it really started to explore typography. I love working this way, creating and working visually really inspires me and keeps me interested in projects - this is something I need to bear in mind next year especially during the research stages of projects.
