Getting Organised

Finally managed to organise myself and prepare for the crits / progress with this year. This is just a basic summary of how I have got myself organised and a referral to me in case I manage to mix up my filing (organisation was one of my key skills that needed reworking)

I have one folder for my typeface design, which will be a constant progression through the year towards my own type foundry / typography development.

One folder for visual dissertation research and one containing all of my written research, now photocopied allowing my to hi-light different sections / quotes and dates using different coloured hi-lighters. I have also made a time line of the events surrounding the designing of the typeface I am writing my dissertation on which will be a massive help when tying together the different events and dates in future.

Finally my design folder now sectioned into general worksheets, briefs (a sleeve for each brief and one for different visuals I have collected since starting each one) and finally a section at the back for miscelanious sheets that don't really belong but that I can refer back to and organise when appropriate. (Also a cheeky business card at the front just in case I lose it)
