The music industry is always an area that has interested me with influences from designers and studios such as Kate Moross and Give Up Art. Also living in London there is an abudance of up and coming music labels, producers and other artists which gives me an ever expanding client base.
I am going to get in contact with these studios and designers and ask them how they initially got involved in this area and see if they are willing for me to come in and pay them a visit to get used to the professional studio environment.

What skills make me employable in this industry?
- Illustrator / software skills,
Particularly relevant in the digital revolution that we are living in, people are often after designs that need to work across print and screen, and in relation to my knowledge of print and appropriate document set up I can assure clients that they will have consistent designs for both screen and print based design (Colour etc)
- Knowledge of print
In such a competitive industry that strives with individuality my growing knowledge of print means that I can supply clients with professional but affordable design that could develop unique identities.
- Use of Colour
After looking at the branding for 'Rinse' lots people are after interesting aesthetics with eye catching colour schemes. Although I don't want to spend my career regurgitating existing design I am able to take influences from different areas and apply similar techniques and rules with my own design. I also think my use of colour is one of my strengths but it is an area that I will continue to explore and develop.

I already know a lot of people who have got themselves involved in the music scene in London withing a range of different areas - Electronic based music, grime, indie and many others. I will get in contact with these people and continue to network and expand my possible client list. I am going to make a contact list but don't want to post it on here.
- Use of Type
With my growing interests in type and the growing popularity and demand for the effective use of type in this industry this is defiantly one of my strengths and something I should focus on when communicating who I am as a designer.
